— ESTABLISHED 1958

Grassroots art since 1958.

We are Western Sydney’s longest-running independent art collective. A member-run space where local painters, sculptors, and makers gather to create without pretense.

Our Heritage

Six decades of wet paint

Founded by local painters in 1958, the society has provided a continuous home for grassroots creativity. We preserve a historic studio space where generations of Western Sydney makers have shared skills and stories.

Our workshops run weekly, offering accessible clay, painting, and drawing sessions. We keep our fees low and our doors wide open, ensuring that fine art practice remains a community asset.

Our Purpose

Art belongs on the studio floor.

We believe fine art belongs to everyone, not just exclusive galleries. As a historic non-profit, we provide the space, the tools, and the community to keep grassroots creativity alive in Western Sydney.
